From being involved with the Nourish's first Hold 'em for Hunger, going on to being the director of the tournament the following year, to then serving as the National Office's Director of Finance to now being on the Board of Advisors, Chaz's experience truly shows the lifetime of opportunities that Nourish can provide for a young and engaged college student inspired to make a tangible difference in the world.
“Coming back from Uganda, I was left with a deep sense of how privileged we are in America. Rather than feeling shameful of my good fortune, my work with Nourish taught me that I can make a difference, and indeed that I must make a difference as a fellow citizen of the world”.
Chaz's current position as a management consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton started off with him discovering his venture interests organizing the first Hold em for Hunger. Realizing his entrepreneurial spirit, he was able to hone his interest and his skills with more extensive involvement with Nourish. Putting together his academic and personal interests, he created an economic impact assessment for Nourish’s Universal Nut Sheller project in Uganda.
Not only did his experience with working with a richly diverse group of individuals
inspire Chaz to become directly involved in actively doing something about
the roots of global poverty and working of sustainable developmental projects,
Nourish's
unique experience also played a significant role shaping his current ambitions
and endeavors.
