Summary

Financial development is a vital facet of a nonprofit organization.  Proper funding ensures that we can expand our chapter base and consequently cannot implement community projects around the world or impact students lives in a lasting and substantial way.  Although each chapter is responsible for funding, designing, and implementing their specific project (in conjunction with our partners), the National Office provides the groundwork for each chapter to continue their duties. By 2009, this network will generate over $200,000 in revenue and manage close to twenty yearly partnerships.

To accomplish this, we are creating a Development Director position to seek out, generate, and analyze funding for Nourish. This position offers the opportunity for an individual with superior communication, organization, relationship-building and management skills to play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term success of our movement.  Nourish seeks individuals of all ethnic and racial backgrounds to apply for the position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Initiating and building lasting relationships with donors

Targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations that complement Nourish and its mission.

Building awareness of the organization and its mission in the communities and abroad

Managing, collecting, and analyzing day-to-day fundraising data

Writing grant proposals

Developing creative fundraising strategies and developmental materials

Managing fundraising efforts and donor relations

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
