Seeking Fall Interns – Apply Today!
Nourish International is seeking interns for its Fall 2010 internship program. Interns will work closely with full-time Nourish staff to expand and strengthen the organization’s capacity to deliver upon its mission to eradicate poverty by engaging students and empowering communities.

About Nourish International Nourish International is one of the Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative's earliest success stories. Founded at UNC as "Hunger Lunch" in 2003 by Sindhura Citineni, Nourish International received inspiration and assistance from CEI's programs and community to develop into a nonprofit venture. It incorporated in 2006 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on eradicating poverty worldwide. Nourish now works with students on 25 campuses in the United States. This summer, Nourish sent 65 students to work on community development projects with partners in 12 communities worldwide. PR Coordinator
Position Summary: This volunteer will work side by side with Nourish staff using social media and publicity campaigns to raise awareness about the organization with external audiences, as well as support communication within the Nourish chapter network. The PR assistant will be given leadership in designing fundraising event materials.
Commitment: 10 hours a week
Skills needed: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships, strengths in event organizing and planning

Assistant to the Executive Director Intern
Position Summary: The Assistant to the Executive Director will work on various fundraising related initiatives, such as helping launch a phone-a-thon and direct mail campaign, thanking donors for support, maintaining database records and assisting with grant writing. This position is ideal for people interested in gaining experience in grant writing and non-profit management.
Commitment: 10 hours a week
Skills needed: Strong written and oral communication skills, initiative, follow through are a must. Experience with mail-merge, grant writing, or other fundraising skills a plus.

International Projects Coordinator
Position Summary: The International Projects Coordinator will support our student chapters in forming responsible, impactful partnerships with community based development organizations abroad. Position will work on creating resources for Nourish students who travel abroad. An interest in global development and international affairs is vital for this position.
Commitment: 10 hours a week
Skills needed: Strong communication skills, research and organizational abilities. Ability to work well with others.

Web and Marketing Intern
Position Summary: The Intern will work closely with nourish staff in assisting with web and graphics projects. Here at Nourish we use a CMS called Drupal. Basic knowledge and prior work with this system is preferable.
Commitment: 10 hours a week

- Solid understanding of HTML concepts, with examples of past projects
- Basic experience working with CSS.
- Aptitude towards problem solving
- Interest in learning new skills, technologies

Chapter Support Intern
Position Summary: The Intern will work side-by-side with Nourish staff assisting with chapter support, communicating with student leaders, and developing fundamental chapter documents. This position works closely with the Chapter Coordinator.
