On January 9th, we hosted our first major fundraising event, a wine tasting at the FedEx Global Education Center.  The event was a great success!  It brought over 100 established and new Nourish supporters together and Nourish Chapter leaders from UNC-Chapel Hill, NCSU, and Duke attended.  We were able to raise over $4000, that we plan to put towards adding 10 Chapters to our network and running 8 projects this summer.

Dan Ariely, James B. Duke Professor of Behavioral Economics at the Fuqua School of Business, joined us as our guest speaker.  He spoke about his bestselling book, Predictably Irrational.

Our founder, Sindhura and our Executive Director, James overview the history of Nourish and our goals moving forward

3Cups provided a selection of European wines, and Foster's Market provided a hunger lunch meal of rice, beans and cornbread.  By juxtaposing the fine wines with the simple hunger lunch, we hoped to demonstrate the gap between the developed and developing world that Nourish seeks to bridge through its students.
