From top to bottom, Nourish International is a student-driven movement.  One of the things we believe is that college students, when given the opportunity, have a tremendous potential to generate change.

This value was put into practice during our 2008 Summer Institute when our Chapter Leaders were given the opportunity to set goals for the Chapter Network.

The goals they laid out are as follows:

National Network goals (numbers to hit):

  • Raise $200,000 through on-campus ventures
  • Engage 1,250 people in our network (as members in the Nourish Network).
  • 10-20 successful projects, with a focus on quality rather than quantity.
  • 100% of Chapter successfully transition into next year

Intangible goals (things we value, but aren't sure we can measure)

  • 100% Partner/Community satisfaction
  • Maintain network transparency

Things to explore (ideas we should be developing)

  • Engaging international students
  • Scholarships for traveling abroad
  • Impact studies of former projects
  • Grant database
  • Chapter collaboration and ambassadors
  • Campus seeding

Once again, our students set these goals for themselves and our network.  Keep an eye on this blog and subscribe to our newsletter to check our progress!
