Ecuador
Supporting Children with HIV in their Community
This project will be working to expand the cuy-raising business venture on the organization’s farm and assist with HIV education and awareness campaigns that JUVILUS runs in the local region.
Uganda
Ugandan House of Hope
University of Tennessee students will be working with the local community to cultivate farmland and construct a water tank to provide sustainable nourishment, fresh water, and income for the House of Hope School. The project will also expand the school by building a new classroom.
El Salvador
Supporting Community Based Education Initiatives
This project will help construct an elementary schoolhouse, enabling the community to provide early education for their youth. Furthermore, this facility will act as a crucial meeting place for community leaders during after school hours.
Ecuador
Organic Urban Agriculture in Ecuador
This project aims to build greenhouses for schools outside Quito, Ecuador to promote student nutrition and bring in additional income for the community.
Honduras
Youth Education and Food Sovereignty
This project will teach computer and Internet literacy to Honduran youth to facilitate connection between the youth, their communities, and the wider world through increased access to information and improved communication skills.
Peru
Mending Educational Infrastructures in Urubamaba, Peru
This project will be an education and construction initiative, working to build a health center and design a basic public health curriculum, to teach the community about proper nutrition and hygiene.
Cameroon
Fruit Tree Cultivation in Cameroon
This project aims to provide nourishing meals and a source of income for a community of Cameroonian women. The students will work with the community to plant 5,000 fruit trees and to teach the local women how to care for their orchard and how to run a sustainable business with the surpluses in fruit.
Nicaragua
Bamboo Forest Development
This project is working with local farmers to develop a bamboo reforestation program in Rosita, Nicaragua to provide locals with a sustainable raw material for affordable housing and a source of income for local farmers.
Peru
Public Health Initiative in Peru
This project will help construct a regional clinic that will provide treatment to locals of the Moche Valley who otherwise would not have access to health care. The team will also work at an educational health fair to promote healthier living standards.
Guatemala
Business Skills for Guatemalan Women
Students from UCLA are working to support survivors of sexual violence by teaching them business skills to strengthen their ecoweaving and toiletry product enterprises, to allow these women to generate more income and achieve economic stability.
Thailand
Community Centers and Family Gardens
This project will build 50 backyard gardens and a community cultural center to serve displaced Burmese families. The gardens will improve the villages’ food security and the community center will provide a cultural center and a location for activities like the village savings group.
Peru
Primary Health-Care Clinic for 10,000 Peruvians

Nicaragua
Community Development in Nicaragua
This project aims to build and renovate homes for families in Nicaragua. The deeds to the homes will be sold at little cost to female heads of household--providing the owners with a property investment and increasing their independence.
Mozambique
Teaching Sustainable Agriculture
Young Africa and the UPenn Nourish Chapter are working together to promote sustainability and teach hands-on skills, helping the youth cultivate 2,000 acres of land. By empowering young people through skills training, Young Africa helps the youth turn unused land into a source of income.
